Healthcare Management & Leadership MBA Specialization Overview
This specialization was created to provide students with both the theoretical knowledge associated with health care management and leadership plus a set of practical tools to aid them in the challenges they face or may be facing in this dynamic industry. Through real world scenarios of how to incorporate solutions and weekly health care related current events discussions, students are able to gain more than a clinical perspective into the world of healthcare management.
Classes within the Health Care Management & Leadership specialization are organized in a way that allows for the student to gradually build upon their knowledge in the field. First, students take a course to better understand the health care organization, then a course that discusses managing the health care organization (financial aspects), and finally, a course on how to improve the health care organization. The three courses offered through this specialization work together to present a unified experience unlike other offerings from other institutions.
