Local artists win several awards at AU's Juried Student Art + Design Exhibition
ASHLAND, Ohio – The majority of awards from the Juried Student Art + Design Exhibition at Ashland University went to local student artists, it was announced by Cynthia Petry, director of AU’s Coburn Gallery. With generous donations, Ashland University surpasses fundraising goal
ASHLAND, Ohio – Ashland University’s comprehensive, five-year fundraising initiative, entitled The Campaign for Every Individual, has well surpassed the initial fundraising goal of $50 million, with more than $84 million given so far making it the most successful fundraising effort in the university’s 144-year history. Study, led by AU professor, detects harmful metal exposures in aluminum cookware in Ghana
San Francisco and Accra – Researchers report finding alarming levels of lead and other metal exposures from cookware made from recycled aluminum in Ghana, according to a new study published this month. Jeff Weidenhamer, a professor of chemistry at Ashland University, is the first author of the article, “Metal exposures from source materials for artisanal aluminum cookware,” which was published in the International Journal of Environmental Health Research.
