What others say about the Women in Leadership Program
"I liked all of the speakers; they all brought a different piece to the table. Diverse backgrounds and some really good articles. All the TEDx's were great. I loved them so much. I could understand and empathize so much with all the speakers. Activities are awesome and I recently switched careers and plan to do many with my staff. A lot of things discussed in this class encompass how I operate, celebrate, mentor, approach, and celebrate staff so it makes me feel good that I am 'on the right path'. I have also learned valuable feedback that I plan to take with me and utilize on this next journey. Especially holding everyone accountable, delegating, and communicating with staff more effectively. I will be going through all the modules again! Thanks Ladies - I will still be here for a while!!"
- Cheryl V., Quality Operations Manager
"The coursework was amazing. I loved the tools available to use as team-building activities to grow connections. The video selection fits each of the modules. There are several I want to review and watch again! The sections on gender bias were very eye-opening. The section on negotiations was the most valuable to me and I will be using it for myself and assisting clients. As I worked through the modules, I recognized my confidence was growing. I've discussed it openly and have shared what I learned as well as sharing the ongoing networking opportunities from the program. I liked working on the modules and found them very useful, practical, and stress-free. I would recommend all female managers and coordinators complete this coursework! "
- Martha T., Career Planning Manager
"My favorite modules were Winning Work-Life Balance and Mentoring. This was a wake-up call to really examine how I am spending my precious time. Prior to that section, my work week looked like 50-60 hours and then additional time spent on the weekends. Now, as a result of this course, I am beginning to incorporate more 'life' in my day and working much less on the weekends. I took the 'Solutions for Improving Work-Life Imbalances' video to heart and am being more intentional with my time. In that same section, the video on 'Teach Girls Bravery, Not Perfection' resonated in a good way. Middle school girls should have that message as required prior to entering the work force! Overall, I really enjoyed the entire course. There was so much great information, takeaways, and handouts. Also, having the option to take my time though the modules made it much easier to be present and enjoy the coursework. You all did a great job. Thank You!!!"
