Where Career and Calling Merge
The Ashland University Career Center for Life Calling exists to empower students to successfully navigate their career-life journey through relationship building and skill development. We offer guidance and resources, establish networks and connections, and promote personal and professional growth through jobs, internships and opportunities. We are not experts on our student's lives, but aim as career coaches to help students build confidence and motivation to find their dreams and pursue them in their careers after graduation.
We also work with employers, recruiters, faculty and staff, professional groups, and organizations to find suitable candidates for jobs and internships.
Our team has some of the finest career development experts available. Each of them is ready and waiting to hear from you—reach out so we can work together!
Handshake is our online platform for finding jobs and internships, as well as connecting with employers and making appointments with our career coaching staff.

Student Testimonials
“The Career Center for Life Calling not only offers assistance in resume building, mock interviews, grad school, internships, etc. The office is filled with some of the most genuine people I know. Working there, I have met some amazing people. My bosses have not only helped me with career-related issues, but have been there for me and supported me when I needed it. They truly are here for the students and want to help us all succeed.”
-Bailey Jones, College of Education, Class of 2023
“I practiced a mock interview with the Career Center for Life Calling. It was an assignment for a class and it was my second time using one of the resources they offer. The experience taught me so much about interviewing for a job and it also introduced me to more opportunities at the AU Career Center!”
-Molly Gregory, College of Business & Economics, Class of 2022
“Career Services was so kind to me when I first toured AU my senior year of high school. Now being a student at Ashland, they offer tons of help with resume-building and they speak with you like they have known you for a long time. They really try to get to know you in order to set you up for success, on campus and off.”
