Ashland University is the only small college in Ohio to offer a fully converged journalism degree. Throughout your studies, you will write, report, shoot and edit in both the classroom and in real-world settings. You will produce and share compelling stories, leveraging the power of print, digital and social media to master the art of journalism.

You will also:

Dean's Scholarship

The Dean's Scholarship was created to enhance the undergraduate academic experience for new first-time and transfer students enrolled in a major within the College of Arts & Sciences. It is a merit-based, renewable scholarship of $1,500 that can be "stacked" on top of other awarded AU academic scholarships. In addition, students have the opportunity to participate in unique academic communities with a focus on career coaching and preparation.

Every year we select one student to receive a special internship with NewsChannel 5 in Cleveland. This intern receives a stipend and is able to work behind the scenes at a major-market news station and sports operation.
