Four AU programs ranked among U.S. News’ best online offerings
ASHLAND, Ohio – Four of Ashland University’s online program options were rated highly in U.S. News & World Report’s lists of 2022 Best Online Program rankings, released on Tuesday.
In its 10th year of collecting data from distance education master’s and bachelor’s degree completion programs, U.S. News evaluated more than 1,700 online degree programs. The rankings measure overall academic quality, including services offered remotely and course delivery best practices, across varying disciplines.
Ashland particularly stood out among its peers in Ohio and was recognized in the following categories:
- Best Online Bachelor’s Programs – No. 6 in Ohio, 138th nationally out of 361
- Best Online Bachelor’s Programs (Business) – No. 4 in Ohio, 125th nationally out of 228
- Best Online MBA Programs – No. 4 in Ohio, 137th nationally out of 328
- Best Online Master’s in Education Programs – No. 7 in Ohio, 130th nationally out of 321
In the master’s in education category, Ashland moved up 16 spots from last year’s ranking and 14 spots in the bachelor’s programs category. Also, within the master’s in education category, AU was one of 39 schools selected as being a top program for military veterans.

U.S. News’s methodology for these rankings is data driven, utilizing varying weights in categories such as engagement, services and technologies, faculty credentials and training, expert opinion and student excellence.
