AU’s Homeschool and Classical Learning Center hosting a conference on March 8
ASHLAND, Ohio – Ashland University’s Homeschool and Classical Learning Center will host a homeschool conference on Saturday, March 8, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., featuring acclaimed speaker Todd Wilson. It will be held at John C. Myers Convocation Center (638 Jefferson St.).
The second annual conference brings together families from the homeschooling community with the goal to make connections, share ideas and receive practical advice for their own homeschooling journey.
Wilson is a former pastor who now enjoys a multimedia career as a writer, podcaster and speaker, and his authenticity and humor have made him a sought-after presenter at homeschool conventions nationwide. He is the author of “Help! I’m Married to a Homeschooling Mom” and “The Official Book of Homeschooling Cartoons,” and his weekly column, “The Familyman Weekly,” is featured on Christianity Today’s website. He also hosts “The Familyman Show” podcast.
“My message is simple: home is the best place for your children, parents are the best teachers of their children. Every child is a masterpiece, and relationship is the most important part of homeschooling,” says Wilson, the father of eight children.
Theresa Watson, coordinator of AU’s Homeschool and Classical Learning Center, is encouraging all homeschool families in the region or those considering homeschooling to take advantage of this opportunity.
“Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to gain valuable insights while enjoying a day of fellowship,” said Watson.
The conference includes lunch, snacks and beverages, and tickets are $25 per person. Purchase your tickets here, or contact Theresa Watson at twatso15@ashland.edu or 419-207-6290 for more information.
