AU student to perform “Comedy Tonight: An Evening of Musical Theatre Antics” Nov. 19
ASHLAND, Ohio – Katie Snell, a theatre major at Ashland University, will present her senior project, “Comedy Tonight: An Evening of Musical Theatre Antics,” this Saturday, Nov. 19, at 7:30 p.m., inside the Studio Theatre of the Center for the Arts (331 College Ave.). This event is free and open to the public, and no tickets are needed but seating is limited.
Snell will perform a series of comedic selections from classic Broadway shows, such as “Oklahoma!,” “Annie” and “Wicked.” Joining her on stage for duets will be junior Tobin Grendzynski and senior Lauren Vladyka, and the accompanying pianist is Deb Logan.
Directed by Chelsea Croke, an adjunct professor of music and voice at AU, the program will take the audience on a journey through American musical theatre from the 1940s to today.
