AU response to ICE changes in Student & Exchange Visitor Program policies
A statement from AU President Carlos Campo:
"Earlier this week, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement updated policy regarding international students. Under these guidelines, students enrolling in only online courses for Fall 2020 will not be able to maintain their legal status in the US.
We would like to reassure our current and new international students that the updated policy will not impact their transformative learning experience at Ashland University. Ashland University is committed to preserving the opportunity for international students to pursue their educational aspirations by providing on-campus, in-person courses while doing our best to ensure a safe and secure learning environment is maintained during the Fall 2020 semester. We continue our commitment to the "Accent on the Individual."
Ashland University truly values our students from around the world and the contributions each individual provides to enriching our campus and the local community. While these are uncertain times for many international students, we believe it is imperative for our international students to hear that you have been and will continue to be embraced and respected at Ashland University. We look forward to welcoming you to campus in the near future.
Please be aware that International Admissions and International Student Services staff are available to advise."
