AU, NCSC sign articulation agreements covering psychology, fine arts
11/30/2020 ASHLAND, Ohio – Representatives from Ashland University and North Central State College met virtually Monday morning, Nov. 30, to sign two new articulation agreements covering three degree programs.
AU Provost Dr. Amiel Jarstfer and North Central Vice President of Academic Services and Chief Academic Officer Dr. Karen Reed formalized agreements that will allow for a seamless transition for NCSC students who have an Associate of Arts with a Psychology focus to complete AU’s Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology. In addition, those who have completed NCSC’s Associate of Business with a major in Visual Communication Media & Technology-Graphic Design can go on to earn an AU Bachelor of Arts with a major in Fine Arts with a Graphic Design Studio concentration.
NCSC “students enjoy going to Ashland University,” Reed said, “and this makes their trip so much easier. … I’m just grateful. Truly, we have so much to be thankful for.”
AU Art and Design Department Chair Dr. Dan McDonald said his department recently welcomed an NCSC student and looks forward to being able to use the articulation agreement to make the transition smoother and more streamlined. “I am excited to see what these students will bring to the program,” he said.
“Ashland University is one of our strongest and one of our closest partners,” said NCSC Dean of Liberal Arts Deb Hysell. “I am looking forward to sending many, many more students your way.”
