When the registration is open, a link will be added here.  The registration link will also be available on the Events(link is external) page of the Ohio Section of the MAA.  

The conference will be held on the campus of Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio (campus map).  All events will take place in the Hawkins-Conard Student Center (HCSC, #24), the upper part of the John C. Myers Convocation Center (CONV, #32) or the Arthur L. & Maxine Sheets Rybolt Sport Sciences Center (RSS, #25). The recommended parking lots are Parking Lot E or Parking Lot A.  The address for Parking Lot E is 638 Jefferson Street.  If Parking Lots E and A are full, there should be plenty of parking available in Parking Lot B.

  • Students and First-time Attendees - Free

There will be a banquet Friday night for $25 per person.  A buffet will be served with:

Ashland University has guest Wi-Fi available.  When you are on campus, you will need to select the AshlandUniversity Wi-Fi network and then follow instructions on how to login.  You need to submit an email address to receive access.

Where to Stay

Blocks of rooms have been reserved at the following hotels, each of which is located near the intersection of US-250 and I-71, approximately 3 miles (7 minutes) from campus.  Please reserve your hotel rooms early as Monday, April 8th is the solar eclipse and Ashland is within the path of totality. Some hotels are increasing their rates significantly due to this.

About Ashland University's Department of Mathematics and Computer Science

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science offers a BS program in actuarial science, a BSEd program in integrated mathematicsBA and BS programs in mathematics, BA and BS programs in computer science and a BS program in cybersecurity.

As of the 2023-2024 academic year, the department also offers an undergraduate certificate in actuarial science, designed for people who have completed or almost completed a bachelor's degree, typically with at least a minor in mathematics from an accredited institution, and who would like to complete courses to prepare them for the actuarial profession. The curriculum allows students to complete the Society of Actuaries' and Casualty Actuarial Society's Validation by Educational Experience (VEE) requirements and prepares students for the professional actuarial exams in probability (Exam P) and financial mathematics (Exam FM).
